winter headgear at the inaug
I’m pretty bad with the technical name for hats, but I did enjoy the stark contrast in the ones the various important men chose to wear. Herbert Walker Bush’s enormous furry thing, Harry Reid’s old school the-one-that’s-a-bit-bigger-than-a-fedora and Justice Antonin Scalia’s pansy beret thing. Scalia’s was the best—you could catch lol-worthy glimpses of it when he stood behind Chief Justice Roberts during the swearing-in.
Come ON. How can you not talk about Aretha?
